WE ARE... “THE RIDERS”
We see people roll their windows up when we pull up next to them at a red light.
They have no idea that we’re possibly in route to a ride that all the proceeds will go to a single mother fighting breast cancer.
We see mothers pull their children closer to them as we walk up to the check out line at the grocery store dressed in our leathers.
It’s sad they have no idea were in route to a ride for a 15 year old with lupus.
We hear comments such as Scooter Scum, Low Lifers and Biker Bums.
When it’s those same so called Biker Bums greeting our troops at the airport to thank them and welcome them home.
We see their frustration when a police escort has their vehicle pull over for 10 minutes while 600 plus bikes pass by;
Sadly enough they have no idea we are riding for families of our soldiers for the Blue Star Salute.
They have stickers on their bumpers and radios blasting loud;
With no understand ing at all that our passenger pegs are down in memory of a brother that was killed a few weeks back by someone who; at the spur of the moment; didn’t see him coming.
WE RIDE FOR GOD AND COUNTRY, THE AMERICAN LEGION FAMILY
AND ALLIED VETERANS EVERYWHERE,
WE PROTECT THOSE WHO PROTECT US
WE ARE PROUD TO SAY;
YES…
WE ARE THE RIDERS
